Today in Red Sox history: October 4

2012: Red Sox fire manager Bobby Valentine, a day after the end of the regular season. He spent only ten months with the team, leading the way to the worst season since 1965. The Red Sox finished the season in last place with a 69-93 record.

 

Just wanted to remind you: what a difference a year makes.
